Dr. Daniel Cañigueral Viñals has been an International AMI Primary / Elementary (6–12) Trainer for the Association Montessori Internationale since 2018. He is also an AMI International Examiner and a researcher specializing in the history of Montessori education.

He holds a PhD in Educational Innovation and Intervention from the University of Vic (UVic) and brings over 35 years of teaching experience, spent mostly as a Montessori guide at Montessori Palau Girona, where he has been a teacher since 1989 and has led various pedagogical innovation and coordination roles.

He holds AMI Diplomas in both Early Childhood (3–6) and Primary (6–12) Montessori Education and earned his Bachelor's degree in Primary Education from the University of Girona (UdG). Currently, he directs his sixth International AMI Primary Diploma Course (6–12), taught in Catalan in Barcelona during the 2026–2027 academic year in collaboration with the University of Girona and the MIRTC.

His research focuses on Dr. Maria Montessori's stay in Barcelona (1915–1936). He regularly authors articles on education and educational history, serves as a school consultant, and actively participates in organizing the Montessori Congress of Catalonia in Barcelona.

Eduard Vilanova is a Primary teacher at Montessori Palau Girona and an AMI Auxiliary Trainer. He is currently undertaking the Trainer of Trainers program with the Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) for the Primary level at the Montessori- Palau International Research & Training Center (MIRTC).

His work focuses particularly on Cosmic Education, the cornerstone of the Primary (6–12) Montessori classroom, an educational framework that guides children toward a comprehensive understanding of the universe, human history, and their place within them.

He holds a Bachelor's degree in Primary Education and a degree in Educational Psychology from the University of Girona. He earned his AMI 3–6 Diploma in Early Childhood Education from the University of Vic and his AMI 6–12 Primary Diploma from the Centro Internazionale Studi Montessoriani in Bergamo (Italy) —the first AMI center to train Primary Montessori teachers and the institution with the longest tradition in advanced Montessori courses.

Between 2002 and 2005, he actively participated in organizing and translating the first AMI Primary guide training course held at Montessori Palau Girona. Since 1999, he has been delivering lectures, leading practical workshops, and conducting training courses on the Montessori method for educators and families.

Guadalupe Borbolla, with dual nationality (Mexico/Spain), has been involved in Montessori education since 1977, first as a mother and then as a practitioner. She is an AMI Trainer for the 3 to 6 and 12 to 18 age levels at the Montessori Institute of Mexico, A.C. (IMMAC) in Mexico and Spain. She holds a degree in Political Science from the University of Birmingham, England, has a postgraduate degree in Special Education from the West London Institute of Higher Education, and a Master’s in Education from Loyola University in Maryland. She has been the Director of the Montessori School of Tepoztlán, A.C., in Cuernavaca, Morelos, Mexico, for over 30 years. The school offers a comprehensive program for children aged 1 to 18, including a Farm-School project and a Baccalaureate for adolescents. The school has three campuses: Cuernavaca, Querétaro, and Tepoztlán. Guadalupe holds all three AMI diplomas: 0-3, 3-6, and 6-12, as well as the Orientation Studies for Adolescents certificate offered by NAMTA/AMI. She has been a pioneer in implementing Montessori education at the adolescent level since 1990. Guadalupe has over 30 years of experience in the field of Montessori education and is an international speaker. She leads training courses in Mexico, Spain, and Portugal and has participated in training Montessori teachers in various countries around the world. She has actively participated in parent training since 1990. She is a School Consultant for AMI/USA and served on the AMI Board of Directors for 8 years. Guadalupe is happily married and is the mother of three Montessori adults and four Montessori granddaughters. She enjoys meditating, knitting and crocheting, reading, traveling, and writing children's books. She is an animal lover.

Yuri Aldama Saiz holds a degree in Mathematics. He has over 20 years of experience working full-time in the Adolescent Community at the Montessori School of Tepoztlán in Cuernavaca, in the area of Sciences with adolescents aged 15 to 18. He completed the NAMTA Orientation for Adolescent Studies in Chihuahua, Mexico, in 2016 and holds the AMI Casa de Niños Diploma from IMMAC since 2011. In 2020, he participated as a speaker in the IMMAC Introduction workshop for adolescents. He has been appointed by AMI as an Advisor. Yuri is the father of two Montessori children and enjoys cycling and hiking.

Mónica Kleiner has been an Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) Trainer for the 0–3 age level since 2020. She holds teaching qualifications in Early Childhood Education and Music Education, as well as a Master’s Degree in Montessori Pedagogy (0–6) from the University of Vic – University of Central Catalonia, a programme developed in collaboration with the Montessori Institute of San Diego and recognised and validated by AMI.

She has extensive experience as a Montessori educator. From 2008 to 2015, she worked at Montessori Palau Girona in different Nido and Infant Community environments. From 2015 to 2022, she was part of the team at Montessori Palau Montgrí, where she worked in Infant Community and Children’s House environments and also undertook coordination responsibilities within the school.

Throughout her professional career, she has participated in a range of specialised Montessori training programmes, including AMI courses in San Diego, the Master’s Degree in Montessori Pedagogy at the University of Vic, and training programmes offered by the Fundación Argentina María Montessori (FAMM). She has also completed Montessori Assistant training courses in Colombia, Argentina and at various centres in Spain, as well as training activities with the Fundación Dejemos Huellas in Ecuador.

Her professional work also has an international dimension. She has been a speaker at AMI congresses in Colombia, Argentina and Spain.

She also has experience as an AMI Examiner and Consultant, as well as serving as a consultant for the Montessori Quality Assurance Programme of the Asociación Montessori Española (AME), which supports the continuous development and improvement of Montessori programmes in alignment with AMI principles and standards.

Aleksander Modekin works as a lead Lower Elementary teacher in Semitsvetik Montessori School, Dolgoprudny town, Moscow district, Russia. He holds a degree in Law and an additional diploma in Education. In 2017 he graduated from Montessori-Palau International Research and Training Center, where he took an AMI Elementary training course. Mr. Modekin has given a number of speeches and presented several workshops at different educational conferences in Russia. Moreover, he is currently involved in the research and is a post-graduate student.

Saša Lapter holds a master’s degree in Physics from the University of Vienna. He was trained by Dr. Kay Baker in Prague as an AMI Montessori Teacher for Children from 6-12 Years of Age and he also holds an AMI Montessori Orientation Programme to Adolescent Studies (12-18) from Huntsburg, Ohio. Saša is the chairman of the board, principal, and CEO of "Montessori-Schule Wien 1 im Heiligenkreuzerhof" (a Montessori school for children from 6 to 12 years in historical centre of Vienna) and "Montessori-Schule Prein an der Rax" (a boarding Montessori Erdkinder environment for adolescents).

He has been working in Montessori environments with age groups 6-12 and 12-18 since 2010. Before becoming a Montessori teacher, Saša worked as a business consultant. Due to his background both in physics and in Montessori education, Saša is actively involved in the integration of physics into the universal curriculum of Montessori’s Cosmic Education and adolescent Plan of Study and Work. Saša is lecturing and facilitating workshops on different Montessori topics. His special focus is Montessori for adolescents and natural sciences in Montessori education.

Is the co-owner, manager and educational director of a Montessori institution with a Toddler Community, two Children's Houses and a Primary School in Switzerland. She is also the main teacher in the Primary School. Renée Classen has an AMI 3-6 and 6-12 diploma, furthermore she has completed the AMI Orientation for the "Adolescent program" for the third developmental level as well as the AMI 0-3 Orientation. She is currently in the "Training of Trainers" programme with the aim of becoming an AMI trainer for the second stage of development. Ms. Classen is regularly giving lectures and organising workshops (before Covid). Together with a passionate Montessori colleague, she created the format "Montessori in Practice" a few years ago, which offers refresher courses on learned course content as well as ideas on new areas such as chemistry. She has specialized in this field, developing and putting into practice the proposals outlined by Dr. Montessori and following the advice of experts in chemistry.

Diana Vargas holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, a Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition, and is a certified Diabetes Educator. She has a strong background in Montessori education, having earned: the AMI 3–6 Diploma (Primary / Casa de Niños) from the Centro de Estudios de Educación Montessori AC and the AMI 6–12 Diploma (Elementary / Taller) from the Instituto Montessori de Guías de Taller in Mexico City.

With over 15 years of practical experience, she has worked directly with children in Montessori Casa de Niños and Elementary environments across Mexico, Canada, and the United States. Additionally, she has delivered lectures to parents in these three countries to deepen their understanding of the Montessori philosophy.

Furthermore, Diana has extensive experience in adult training, having led AMI Orientation and Assistants Courses for students in Colombia and Panama.
